Chocolate Valentine Basket

Ingredients
- 1 recipe family chocolate cake mixture (see recipe)
- 150g (5oz) butter
- 350g (12oz) icing sugar
- 15ml (1 tbsp) milk
- 30ml (2 tbsp) hot water
- 15ml (1 tbsp) cocoa powder
- Sweets for filling
- Bake the Family Chocolate Cake mixture in two 20cm (8") heart-shaped sandwich tins, for 40- 45 minutes.
- Leave to cool on a wire rack.
- Cream the butter and the icing sugar together with the milk Mix the hot water and cocoa powder into a paste.
- Add this to the butter mixture and cream well.
- Fit two piping bags with nozzles; one a ribbon nozzle, and the other a plain writing nozzle.
- Fill the bags with the butter cream.
- Hold the ribbon nozzle sideways and pipe three evenly-spaced lines, one above the other, on one of the cakes.
- The three lines should all be the same length.
- Pipe a vertical line, using the writing tube, along the edge of the basket weaving.
- Continue this process until the cake is covered.
- Cover the outermost edge and the sides of the remaining cake in the same way.
- This will now be the base, and the completely covered cake the lid.
- Arrange the lid at an angle on top of the lower cake and fill the inside with sweets.
